Description

Add keys to existing selection

SHIFT + Click | SHIFT + Click + Drag

To add to an existing selection, hold the Shift Hotkey and either click on additional color keys, or click and drag a selection rectangle over keys



Subtract keys from existing selection

CTRL + Click | CTRL + Click + Drag

To subtract from an existing selection, hold the Ctrl Hotkey and either click on color keys you wish to unselect, or click and drag a selection rectangle over keys


Reduce x amount of selected keys to one


double-click key

If you have multiple keys selected and wish to reduce the selection to just a single key out of that selection, double click the key

Scale Keys

Hold Q and drag in Gradient

Scaling of keys will scale the currently selected key positions up or down, while maintaining relative distances to each other



Distribute Keys

Hold D and drag in Gradient

Distribute will evenly distribute selected keys between the selected key on the far left and far right



Duplicate Keys

Hold U and drag in Gradient

Will create copies of the currently selected keys


Zoom into Gradient


+

Zooms into the Gradient. If keys are selected they will become the zoom center

Zoom out of Gradient


-

Zooms out of the Gradient until the full 0-1 position range is visible

Pan in Gradient

Arrow Left | Arrow Right

When zoomed into the Gradient, you can pan within the current Zoom Level to the left or right


Reset Gradient Zoom


R

Resets the Gradient Zoom to show the default 0 to 1 position range

Frame selected Keys 

F

Auto-zooms the Gradient so that selected Keys are maximized along the width of the Gradient. The selected key on the farthest left

will be in the new "0" position, the one on the right in the new "1" position


Select All Keys

CTRL + A

Select all keys in the Gradient


Deselect All Keys

CTRL + D

Deselect all keys in the Gradient

Invert Key Selection

CTRL + I

Invert the current Key Selection. Selected keys will become unselected, unselected keys will become selected

Undo the last step

CTRL + Z

Step back one entry in the History. The Ramp Editor saves up to 200 previous steps



Redo last step

CTRL + Y

After you have performed an Undo operation, you can redo the previously undo operation this way


Save Gradient Snapshot


CTRL + S

Saves the currently visible Gradient to the Preset Editor "Project Snapshots" Category. Project Snapshots are a way to store
Gradient States temporarily. Project Snapshots only exist within the project and do not carry over to other projects.

Toggle Live Update

SPACE or H

By default the Ramp Editor will apply any change you make instantly to the node you are editing.
You can pause the live update, which can sometimes improve editor performance (e.g. sliding handles etc.)


Show / Hide Presets

P

Opens or closes the Preset Section of the dialog

Cycle Quicktips

F1

Will show the next Quicktip in the Status Line of the dialog. You can also click on them to cycle


Mirror selected Keys


M

Will flip the positions of the selected keys, e.g. the far left key's position will assume the position of the key on the far right etc.

Pick (Color)


C

Launches the Color Picker to pick a color anywhere on screen

Sequence Eyedropper

SHIFT + C

Launches the Sequence Eye Dropper, which allows you to pick a series of colors from anywhere on screen in one go


Copy Color


CTRL+C

Copies the color values of the currently selected color key to the clipboard

Paste Color

CTRL+V

Pastes the previously copied color values onto all selected keys


Delete selected Keys

DEL

Deletes all selected keys


Numerical Field Decimal Edits

Arrow up / down

Place your cursor in a numerical field and press the Arrow up or down hotkeys to edit the decimal to the right of the cursor.


Slider Increment Ladder

Right Mouse Click on Slider

Opens the "Increment Ladder" of a slider, allowing you to edit sliders with different precision via mouse drags

Show / Hide Presets

P

Opens or closes the Preset Section of the dialog


Apply Preset

Double Click Preset or "A"

Loads the currently selected preset into the ramp editor

Toggle Auto-Apply Preset Selection


ALT + A

When toggled on, any preset selection change will be automatically load the preset into the ramp editor

Select Random Preset

S

Selects a random preset from the currently open category


Add new Preset

ALT + + (plus)

Saves a new preset to the "User Presets" Category or a user created category

Remove Preset / Favourite

ALT + DEL

Deletes the currently selected Preset or .. when within the Favourites category .. unfavourites the selected item.


Toggle Search


ALT +F

Toggles the Filtering of the Preset List on/off

Favourite / Unfavourite Preset


L

Adds the selected item to the Favourites category or removes it if it had been favourited previously.

Toggle Preset Crop

ALT + C

Toggles the Cropping of Presets on/off


Allow Gradient Insert


I

Toggles the "Insert into Range" on/off

Get range from Ramp Selection

ALT + \

Sets the minimum/maximum "Insert into Range" values based on the current selection of keys in the ramp editor Gradient


Get minimum Range from Selection

ALT + [

Sets the minimum "Insert into Range" value (left handle) based on the current selection of keys in the ramp editor Gradient


Get maximum Range from Selection

ALT + ]

Sets the maximum "Insert into Range" value (right handle) based on the current selection of keys in the ramp editor Gradient


Invert Range

ALT + I

Inverts the Handle positions of the "Insert into Range" widget

Reset Range

ALT + O


Reset the Handle position of the "Insert into Range" widget to their original 0 and 1 positions.
